It has been one of those weeks. I’m just exhausted. Not just from work, which has been rather long this week, but I’m pretty sure the state of my apartment is contributing to my low spirits and energy.
I’m not talking about magic apartment mojo, just the clutter and mess that has been slowly building up… mostly because I don’t have the energy to do anything about it! So it’s getting pretty bad now. I don’t have the inclination to get up and do anything, and I need to! I decided to participate in Gala Darlings 28-Day Transformation Challenge. My challenge is to learn a Bollywood dance! I have lots of video of the particular dance, and now all I need is the space and frame of mind in which to learn.
My Transformation Challenge Badge! Yay!
Actually, the other motivating factor for cleaning up my apartment, besides dancing and energy and lack of clutter, is that tomorrow there is a fire-alarm inspection, and I am ashamed to let my landlord see how awful my kitchen and closets are.
So let’s see… well, I went to Hyogo and it was awesome. This week I taught a deaf class for 35 minutes by myself, which was scary but cool. Yesterday I put in a 12 hour day because I helped grade the High School entrance exams for my school. I saw the new James Bond movie, and also The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, which is up for 13 Oscars. Both of them were very good, I think. I finished reading “Dune” and also “Sense and Sensibility”, which actually wound up just depressing me a lot (but I’m glad I finally read it).
Also, in the mail I got a packet about signing up to work at Tokyo Orientation for all the new JETs next year. I’d really like to do that… share my wisdom, and also hang out in Tokyo for a weekend. Meet the new people, meet other people across Japan. We’ll see, I hear that competition is pretty fierce for attendance.
That’s about it for right now, I’ve got to get back to work. Cheers~~
